Dean figures he's doing his parents' finances a favour by dropping out. Neville wants to force him back to school but Trish thinks giving him a taste of working and managing his own affairs will change his mind. Dean deftly sidesteps his first bit of adversity by hiring Hopper's car to make his deliveries only for his mother to tell Hopper not to help him out. Shelley uses swimming lessons as an excuse to spend time with Hopper. Edwina surprises Zac by putting a deposit on a flat without telling him.
